NCFE Level 2 Award in Mentoring

Whether you mentor colleagues at work, support students in education or guide people through community programmes, this Level 2 Award formalises that skill set with a nationally recognised qualification. You will develop your understanding of what effective mentoring looks like, how to build trust with mentees, how to structure sessions and how to track and review progress over time.

Entry Requirements
• Age 16 or over
• Level 1 Functional Skills in English and Maths
• Some experience of working with people recommended
• No prior mentoring qualification required
• A smart device (PC/Mac/Tablet) with an internet connection
Course Assessment
Internally assessed and externally moderated portfolio of evidence. No exams. Evidence includes written assignments, reflective accounts of mentoring sessions and professional discussions with your assessor. A Pass is required across all units. Awarded by NCFE.
Course Duration
The course can be completed in 4-6 weeks. Learners set their own pace with no fixed schedule. Course registration remains valid for 6 months.
Course Mode
Self-study course delivered entirely online. Learners have full freedom to complete the course at their own pace with no fixed schedule or classroom attendance required.
