Overview
Stroke is the UK's fourth largest cause of death and a leading cause of disability, yet early recognition and fast response can be life-changing. This Level 2 Award is designed for care workers, healthcare support staff, community volunteers and anyone who wants to understand stroke — how to recognise it, what happens to survivors and how to provide effective support during recovery.

Entry Requirements
• Age 16 or over
• Level 1 Functional Skills in English and Maths
• Suitable for care workers, support staff and volunteers
• No prior healthcare qualification required

Course Assessment
Internally assessed and externally moderated portfolio of evidence. No exams. Evidence includes written assignments, case studies and reflective accounts documenting your understanding and application of stroke care principles. A Pass is required across all units. Awarded by NCFE CACHE.
Course Duration
The course can be completed in 4-6 weeks. Learners set their own pace with no fixed schedule. Course registration remains valid for 6 months.
